"Regressed" is a state of a character card in Little Troubles. This state is caused by the card being defeated in a fight or by an action played on it. In general, a regressed character has lower maturity and confidence than their adult counterpart, but also have higher per turn resources and fight rewards.

When defeated in a fight or by an action, most regressed characters are sent to timeout. There are some exceptions, and they are noted on the card.
