Patches is an example of a hybrid card, being a Character and Toy simultaneously.

A Hybrid card is a colloquial term used to refer to cards that are more than one card type simultaneously (e.g Character and Toy), and as such also count towards a player's maximum limit for each respective card type simultaneously.

For example, a Character/Toy hybrid card (Like Patches) cannot be played if the player's Playground already has the maximum number of Characters allowed, even if there is space for Toys, and vice versa.
