Ability

Check/look at
Confidence
Confidence is the character's ability to win fights, or their attack value. It is marked on the character card in the lower left corner with a red rattle. Unless printed on the card as 0, this value can never be affected by actions, locations, or scenes to be made below 1.

Deck
Your deck (or draw pile) is your cards not currently in play, not in your hand and not in Timeout. Your deck is played face down on your play surface. Generally, cards are moved from the top of your deck to your hand as part of either the resource phase of your turn or as a fight reward.
If you run out of cards in your deck, you shuffle the cards in your Timeout to create a new deck.

Maturity
Maturity is the measure of the character's ability to stay an adult or stay out of timeout...or their defense. It is marked on the character card in the lower right corner with a blue bottle. Unless printed on the card as 0, this value can never be affected by actions, locations, or scenes to be made below 1.
